Hallmarc Inn

They stopped serving breakfast and coffee during covid and have been too cheap to bring them back. I've stayed here for over a decade, but no more. I'm taking my money somewhere else over a coffee!

The two rooms we had on the same side, on the ground floor, had clearly been updated fairly recently. The colors are pleasing, and the effort to improve the look of the place has paid off. But the cleaning let that work down. The basics were initially okay, yet there were still smears, dustbunnys, and sticky spots. They were so close to the next level, but the details matter. I hope it's better when we visit Marion again.

The bed may have been the only clean thing. The AC wasn't working properly, and when I told the front desk, he came to the room, set it to 70, and told me to leave it there. There was black mold everywhere, on the walls and light fixtures. The TV had lines through the picture. My company uses this hotel, but I'll refuse to stay there and get my own room from now on.

My truck was down in the shop, so after a hard day I arrived close to midnight needing a shower and a bed. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was good. The next morning my ride was delayed, and they let me wait in the lobby for four hours. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Good people here.
