Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cedar Rapids NE – Marion by IHG

The breakfast had an amazing range, from cold items to hot food, and the juice machine had the best juice I’ve ever tasted. The hot food was great, with so many choices I couldn’t believe it. The pool was pretty nice, though a little small, and the temperature was just right. There’s also a really nice lounge area in the lobby. Staff were polite and helpful. The room had some new high-tech lighting that you’d need to see to know what I mean. The place is spacious and nice. I try different hotels to check out their pools and breakfasts, and I’d very much recommend checking this one out. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks!

Traveling with our furry friend was easy, and I appreciated that the hotel charged $25 for the pet stay instead of $75 like many places do. Everything was seamless, and we’ll definitely stay again when we’re passing through. The whole hotel was extremely clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast tasted great with plenty of healthy choices. I rarely write reviews, but this stay was so good I wanted to encourage others to come here. Thank you!

We were in town for a hockey tournament, and after complaints to corporate about 14 of our 17 girls getting chemical burns from what we believe was too much chlorine in the pool, the front desk staff singled our group out. Since then, we haven’t been allowed to sit quietly and hang out in the lobby, even though other groups can stay there. I’d stay far away from this hotel if you’re considering it for the Stay to Play tournament. The front desk staff are awful, breakfast sucks, and the pool is small, with room for maybe 10 people. Definitely stay somewhere else.

Mandee made me feel welcome to the mid-west with her great personality and recommendations. She was the sunshine of the place. I’m on a long cross-country road trip and have stayed at many hotels, but this has been my favorite so far. The staff are exceptional, the rooms are modern and packed with features, and the hotel is well kept. The cinnamon rolls at breakfast were awesome and tasted freshly made.
