There are no elevators, so getting luggage up to the second floor means taking the stairs. Worse, on 02-02-26 I found roaches in my room. I showed the owner, whom I called the “guy,” a video I’d recorded in the hotel, but he tried to deny what it showed. We argued, and his son in law pulled a gun on me in the lobby. I’m still terrified and mentally ill from the situation. The owner was very, very disrespectful, so don’t let him fool you. Nasty rooms and bad service, 0/10.

The room stayed clean, and I never had a problem with housekeeping. The manager was friendly and kind, and the staff were wonderful and helped with my questions. I was visiting family and had a pleasant stay with no issues, 10/10.

My children and I broke down about three hours from where we were headed, with no idea what to do next. When we came into the hotel, we were met with so much warmth, hospitality, and compassion. That small kindness changed our whole Christmas, and we’ll always be grateful to the owner and housekeepers. The place is beautifully maintained, and you can see the owner and staff take pride in it. I loved the Christmas decorations. I’ve never stayed at a nicer Days Inn anywhere in Texas. Maybe they could add a hot cocoa bar or a projector in the corner of the ceiling.

My wife put up with the roaches and poor service while staying here for work, but the parking situation was a joke too. I parked for maybe two hours while visiting her, and they covered my car with bits of tape and paper threatening to tow it. She’d rather drive 45 minutes from centerville to work than stay at this Days Inn, which is only 10 minutes away. The lot was 90% empty, and it was ridiculous to put things on my car when I was parked at a room she’d paid for.
