Texas Inn Motel

This little mom-and-pop place was far better than I expected. It’s very clean and well cared for, and in my opinion the room was better than what you get at the big chains off the freeway. I’ve stayed at a lot of motels, and this one is top notch. It was much cheaper, too.

The room was quiet and stayed dark with the window coverings, even though the motel sits on the main road. The AC worked well, and the communication and service were excellent. We stopped for a night while heading to Caddo Lake state park. It’s an old motel with very dated rooms, but it was clean and served its purpose for an overnight stay.

The owners were extremely nice, and the location was convenient. Our room was super clean, the AC worked well, and the water pressure was phenomenal. The price was reasonable, too. A really great stay.

I spent three nights here over the July 4th weekend and had no complaints. It’s an affordable family-run motel with what I needed: WiFi, Direct TV, A/C, a king bed, a high-pressure hot shower, a fridge, a microwave, and a table and chairs. There are plenty of places to eat and get drinks nearby, though you’ll need a car.
