El Campo Casa Resort

Autumn was really nice, and the grounds looked lovely, but I wouldn’t stay here again. My room had a funky, musty, moldy smell, and it wasn’t clean. I know the place is old and the rooms are tiny, but they still need to be clean and updated. It could be a top notch place if they improved the rooms.

We’ve been coming here every year for 4-6 years, and the price has never gone up. The linens are changed each time, and the toilets and sinks are always clean. The front desk has also been kind and generous toward people with disabilities, so we recommend the place highly. It’s an inexpensive, clean motel, and the service is wonderful for the price. There are no phones, microwaves, irons, air conditioning, or heaters in the rooms, and the cable goes out every 2-3 minutes, sometimes sooner. But if you mainly need a safe place to sleep near the road, without a lot of hassle or high prices, this works well for us.

We love staying here. The garden is beautiful, and there’s a pool to enjoy. It’s an older place with basic rooms, but they have what you need, especially for the price. Restaurants and stores are close by too. Highly recommended.

We visit our grown kids and grandkids in Mountain Ranch and Rail Road Flats, coming over from Reno. For us, El Campo Casa is the best place to stay within 50 miles, even compared with places costing three times as much. The rooms are small, clean, quaint, and non-smoking, without a lot of unnecessary extras. Rates are low and the service is great, so we give it five stars.
