Quality Inn

There are two sinks in Room 228, something I haven’t seen at other hotels, and the parking areas are spacious. My husband and I often travel for work and always choose Quality. This room was roomy and clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, clean towels and linens, and a warm new blanket. It also had a TV, microwave, and refrigerator. Very cozy.

The new management has made a real difference. The rooms have been remodeled, and mine felt fresh, modern, and clean. It came with a large flat-screen TV and plenty of Dish Network channels, while the bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. The bathroom was also roomy, clean, and modern, with plenty of hot water. Check-in was quick, courteous, and professional. I was impressed and would stay again.

The room was clean, and the staff member at office check-in was very helpful. It felt decent enough to relax and feel safe. The soda machine wouldn’t accept paper money, charged my debit card $5 three times without giving me anything, and kept the quarters we tried. The heater also set off the smoke alarm, so it probably needs a little maintenance.

We arrived at 6:30 p.m. exhausted after a long drive, only to be told someone else had taken the A.D.A. room we reserved at the Quality Inn about two weeks earlier. The desk employee said those guests had reserved it too and arrived first. There were no other accessible rooms, so we were placed in a two-bed room with hardly any room to maneuver a wheelchair. My wife can’t walk and is confined to a wheelchair, and she couldn’t fit through the small bathroom doorway in it. We’re both 85, and I had to physically pull her into the bathroom and help her onto the toilet. She couldn’t shower the next morning either, since the tub shower had no safety bars. The sink handle didn’t work, so we had to get water from the bathtub. The TV remote was missing, probably taken by previous guests, though the desk manager gave me a replacement. The sheets were thin and crumpled, and seemed like they might not have been changed for years. We also struggled to sleep because we could hear people in rooms above and beside us. This is the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Don’t book unless you’re desperate for a room, and if you’re disabled, make sure before leaving home that the staff will hold the A.D.A. room for you when you arrive.
