Quality Inn & Suites - Greensboro-High Point

The staff were pleasant and helpful, but that didn’t make up for the shabby room. I didn’t think it was worth what I paid, and even two stars feels generous. The Wi-Fi kept buffering from most of the room; a solid connection only worked when I stood right behind the door or sat on the toilet. Although signs said no smoking, the room smelled strongly of Marlboro Red, and cigarette burns on the bedcover made me suspect the rule may be recent. Several cheap LED bulbs flickered wildly for a few minutes as they warmed up, so keep that in mind if flashing lights bother you. Water always escaped the shower curtain and pooled around the toilet, leaving a soaked bathmat to step onto. The door was about 1.5 inches too short, so hallway light came in underneath. The room was kind of clean, but the corners and floor under the headboard looked neglected.

The rates are great, and the rooms are clean. The shower has the hottest water I’ve seen in a long time, and guests can use the washer and dryer. There’s an indoor pool, though it’s currently closed for maintenance, and the breakfast is okay. As soon as you walk in, the staff greet you like family instead of someone staying a night or two. Best hotel east of the Mississippi River.

The service has been amazing, the facilities are clean, and it’s been relatively quiet overall. The rooms are comfortable and have what you need for the price, though they could use a little TLC and updating. There’s plenty of parking and a lot of truckers stay here. The location is alright, with plenty nearby, though the hotel is on a service road. My two days here so far have been positive.

The two-room suite was spacious and clean, and every staff member we met was friendly. Breakfast was decent, with eggs, waffles, pastries, and more. I would have liked potatoes or something alongside the eggs, but the young woman looking after breakfast kept the area clean and stocked. I’m happy with our stay. The $150 deposit seems uncalled for, though I’d still stay here if I were in the area.
