Darren at the front desk was a gentleman and made check-in really easy. The staff are very nice, and both the rooms and other guests were welcoming. My room was extremely clean and rodent-free. For an extended stay, the location is great, with Walmart, Sam’s, Target, and restaurants all within two or three miles. I like the full kitchenette with a fridge and cabinets for supplies, plus there’s lots of storage. I’d definitely recommend this as a temporary place to stay.

I cut my two-week stay short after just three nights because of the roaches. There were several on the wall and in the bathtub, and a centipede was in there too. I also found hairs stuck to a towel that was supposedly unused. They said the towels were mine to keep because they don’t change them between guests. I couldn’t sleep, worried bugs would crawl on me or my things. I checked out early and got no refund, but the nearly $700 I lost was worth having peace of mind. The room looked clean at first, but the website pictures didn’t tell the whole story, and the room and outside area smelled of smoke and cigarettes. The room didn’t look like the photos either. When I reported the roaches, the man at the front desk said he hadn’t heard about roaches there in four years. He offered to treat the room and provide fresh towels, but didn’t say where I was meant to go while it was treated. This business isn’t accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and after seeing the accreditation criteria and staying here, that tracks. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone who expects cleanliness or dislikes misleading marketing. Stay at your own risk.

The room was advertised as smoke-free, but I woke up to cigarette smoke filling it. The manager said they couldn’t do anything about smoke coming through the AC vent because guests are allowed to smoke in their doorways. He said he’d refund me, then rebooked my room to a new guest and denied the refund. Unethical business practices. Don’t book here if you have asthma, other respiratory illnesses, or are sensitive to cigarette smoke.

The room I got was old, dirty, and smelled awful. I paid for a regular room like the ones shown on the website, but that wasn’t what I was assigned. It seems they have renovated rooms but give you the worst ones first. The pictures I saw when booking weren’t of my room at all. A smoker had clearly stayed there before. The walls were brown and smelled of cigarettes, while the carpet reeked of smoke and dirty shoes and was badly stained. When I spoke with the front desk, they said they couldn’t do anything about the room or the smell. It was the worst-smelling hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re thinking of booking, ask to see your room before paying or signing anything.

I’ve been staying here for a couple of months, and Darren has been awesome. He’s friendly and answered all my questions. The renovated rooms are really nice, quiet, and roach-free. The property is clean, the prices are the lowest in town, and it’s the best location in the city. Stores, fast food, restaurants, Walmart, and convenience shops are right nearby, within walking distance. The service I got from Darren was the best in this city. This will always be my go-to place. If I could give it 10 stars, I’d give it 100.
