Extended Stay America - Greensboro - Wendover Ave.

The front desk attendant was friendly and accommodating when we checked in, and again when we came back a few minutes later to check out. We’d booked this as an affordable overnight stop on a road trip because it accepted our dog, but I couldn’t stay there with my wife and kids. There were several roaches crawling on the nightstand between the beds, and a pile of dirt and trash had been left on the floor beside the entry. If you need a reasonably priced room that takes pets, I’d recommend the LaQuinta just down the street.

I was there for about 10 minutes and saw roaches crawling around, used syringe needles on the steps to the room, drug activity in the parking lot, and sketchy people all over the property. The room was nasty, with warped cabinets and a dingy bathtub. Staff were rude, especially the young woman with dreads, who argued with me about the room’s condition. She also smelled strongly of weed. They clearly don’t take pride in the property. Even after months of customer complaints, I saw no changes to make guests’ stays better. Their replies to reviews seem useless. It was a horrible experience, zero out of ten, and I wouldn’t recommend it even as a last resort. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The front desk staff were friendly, but the property and room were awful. The area felt sketchy, and the building was rough outside and just as bad inside. I walked into the room, then right back out to ask for a refund and go somewhere else. It smelled strongly of animals and cigarettes, the furniture had mildew from moisture, the bathtub looked scary, and the kitchen was very dirty. The curtains had been ripped off, leaving no privacy. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you absolutely had to stay there.

I was really disappointed. The room smelled horrible as soon as I walked in, and the bathroom was dirty with no soap or anything else in it. The kitchen area was dirty too. I’ve stayed at other locations and honestly expected more.
