We slept well before our flight. The place was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and our room was clean. It’s an older Drury, but still nice, with friendly staff. It’s close to the airport, and there are parking garages right next door. Guests also get free onsite parking.

The staff really made this Drury stand out. Everyone we dealt with, from the front desk to dining and housekeeping, was professional and super friendly. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and there’s both a hot breakfast buffet and an evening buffet. My wife and I are staying two nights while we wait out the winter storm so we can fly. If you’re waiting for a flight or just passing through, I highly recommend it.

UPDATE: I ended up staying exactly five weeks. Nobody wants to spend that long in a hotel, but if I had to, I couldn’t have asked for a better place. The complimentary supper with drinks was unusual, and the breakfast was especially good too. The rooms were comfortable and clean, if not anything special, and the service was friendly and attentive. I’d been there almost four weeks when I wrote the first part, with probably another week to go. I’m glad I stumbled into such a nice place for a long stay.

The staff gave us great suggestions for places to go and eat, and the free breakfast and dinner with drinks were awesome. Our room was clean, and I’d stay here again if I came back to St Louis. It’s right by the highway ramps and maybe 15 minutes from downtown. I was worried the construction would be loud, but once the workday ended on time it was perfectly quiet. We didn’t hear planes either. The soft close doors helped, though we did hear an ice machine at night. You could ask for a room farther from it. The airport shuttle was quick and ran on call. Returning the rental car was easy. I dropped it at the Budget lot and walked back in less than 5 minutes, so I didn’t have to figure out an early morning drop-off and still catch the free shuttle. I could sleep in a little and handle it the day before. I can’t imagine how nice the hotel will be after the remodel!

The front desk staff were awesome, but the rest of the stay was so uncomfortable that we left for another hotel. We were there for six days because of a fire at our home. Nobody told us about construction when we arrived, or I would have gone somewhere else. At 8am, banging and drilling woke us up. The bathroom and toilet were nasty, though a supervisor came to clean them. The next day, I spilled soda in the bed and asked about changing rooms. I saw a housekeeper and asked if she could change the bedding. She nearly hit me with the pillowcase, slammed things around, and acted mad about doing her job. That was rude and unacceptable. I called the manager, which I don’t usually do, but with everything I was dealing with, I didn’t appreciate it. I tried to let it go, but every day someone knocked and came into the room, waking and scaring us, even with a sign on the door. That was on top of the construction. One of the people preparing the buffet dinner was aggressive too. The general manager was hard to reach. If insurance hadn’t been paying, I would have wanted some of my money back. I’ll never stay here again. I’ll go to the Chesterfield location.
