Motel 6 Maryland Heights, MO

I couldn’t be happier. They let me keep my pets with me for free, and the staff work hard to keep guests comfortable. They’re always cleaning and tidying up the parking lot. My husband and I love the staff, especially the young woman who works days. I don’t know her name, but she’s off Wednesday and Thursday, if that helps identify her.

The area feels safe and has grocery stores, a laundromat, gas stations, a pharmacy, and fast food nearby. It’s also next to a highway, so getting around is easy. Inside, though, things have been rough. Housekeepers are loud and rude early in the morning. There are roaches, and black mold in the fridge, which keeps defrosting and leaving puddles across the floor and ruining the food I can put in it. There’s one washer and dryer set for three floors, and I avoid it because of the roaches, using the nearby laundromat instead. The TV has only one working channel and no working remote. With my weekly payments, things that are supposed to be free haven’t been replenished. I asked for clean towels and toilet paper for a whole week. Meanwhile, from what I’ve seen, other guests who speak their language get replenished without a problem.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were amazing. They’re great with pets, too. Highly recommend for your next stay.

Priceline was able to give me a full refund, thankfully. I checked out right away after seeing the room: there were roaches within minutes of entering, used soap stuck to the sink, and every towel and washcloth was stained and full of holes. The hallways reminded me of the Jeffrey Dahmer series.
