Travelodge by Wyndham Marysville

I hadn't planned to stop in Marysville on my business trip across Kansas, but after seeing other reviewers give the hotel high marks, I decided to stay. The staff were accommodating and put me on the first floor since I couldn't manage the stairs. My room and bathroom were clean and in good repair. If I need a night in Marysville again, I'll choose this hotel.

There are several ways to get in, so you can park closer to your room. The gym is decent, and there's a diner across the parking lot. I do wish breakfast were free.

I didn’t feel safe in our second-floor room at the back of the three buildings. The outside door didn’t lock, and it looked like someone lived there and cooked outside. The room seemed like it hadn’t been used or cleaned in ages, judging by the toilet rim. Bring room spray, it helped with the smell. The beds were hard, and there was only a blanket and sheet, no comforter. No coffee maker or breakfast, either. This wasn’t the Wyndham quality we’re used to, and I’m really upset.

The room itself was clean, but the stay was disappointing. While I was doing my daughter’s hair, the bathroom light fixture cover fell off and scared us badly. The beds were hard, the pillows were flatter than pancakes, and there was no breakfast. This will be our last choice of motel when we come to visit family.
