Village Inn & Suites

I’ve stayed here lots of times and tried other local hotels, but now I only stay at the village Inn. The owner and staff are professional and friendly, hands down. It’s spotless and clearly well cared for. A great place to stay.

I felt watched the whole time I was there. The owners are nosy and seem to keep track of you whenever you leave your room. If you bring it up, they deny it and pretty much brush you off. An innkeeper should respect guests’ privacy. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were hidden cameras or bugs in the rooms.

There’s loads of space in the jacuzzi tub room, and I really enjoyed the stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was huge, and the jetted tub was amazing. It also had a microwave, mini fridge, desk, table, clothes storage, and cold air conditioning. The neighbors were the one downside: you could hear them as if they were right in the room. The whole place feels very outdated and could use a more modern, 2025s look. It’s easy to walk to quil ceda casino, restaurants, and gas stations. I’d recommend staying here.

We booked three rooms for two nights, but after the first night we had to move one room because of their mistake, and then they tried to raise the price. There was no breakfast, despite what the booking said, and checkout was strict at 11 a.m. I got reminder calls every five minutes from 10 to 11 while waiting for my Uber. I was threatened with a charge if we were still there at 11:30. My younger sons and I had to wait outside in the parking lot because we couldn’t stay in the room or even the lobby without being charged for another day. There was no compassion or remorse. They kept our deposit, saying the room was “too dirty,” though the owner offered no proof of the mess or stains she said wouldn’t come out. We used towels to clean up a pop spill and were charged for that. Then they complained the floor was sticky and said we should have asked for a rag, because mopping it was extra work for the housekeeper, who is the owner. They said they don’t mop rooms after every stay, and if they have to, they’ll keep the deposit because it’s extra work. They also said they’d keep it if housekeeping, the owner and her son, had to take out garbage, sweep, or mop because that was “too much.” It felt like they’d find any reason to keep the deposit because their family needs it. The motel is in a bad part of town, with transients walking around at night and cars being prowled. The owner says she isn’t responsible for theft or damage, but lets them be on the property. There are security cameras everywhere except outside where the prowlers are. I don’t recommend this place for families. It isn’t kid-friendly or family-oriented, and the price is cheap because they keep your deposit.
