The breakfast was included in the price, but we didn’t try it because it was set up in the motel reception area rather than a dedicated breakfast space. The room was dark, with little natural light, and felt quite worn. The bathroom was old too. It’s a very basic motel, and next time I’d look for somewhere else.

This is a good choice if you want a clean room, comfortable beds, friendly service, an affordable price, and a spot close to town beach and other attractions. Just don’t expect anything fancy. It’s a motel, not a hotel, so judge it with that in mind.

It’s very dirty and gross here, and I wouldn’t recommend staying. The windows don’t open, the ceiling is falling apart, and the sink won’t drain. The tub doesn’t work, only the shower does. The outside door doesn’t shut all the way, leaving a gap underneath where critters can get in.

The location worked fine for what I needed, and the motel was okay for a short stay, though it’s far from fancy. I won’t be back because of how the price was handled. I reserved a Saturday night directly with Ventura Motel and confirmed it would be around $140 plus tax. When I arrived, the charge was $277. They said that was the weekend rate, despite my reservation being for a Saturday. The internet also didn’t show the much higher price. I should have left, but stayed anyway.

The staff at check-in were so friendly, and the room was clean and quiet for the price. The beds were comfortable, with lots of pillows. Thank you!
