The exterior got some changes about six or seven years ago, which was nice, but nothing has been done inside since. I expected some updates after seeing the outside work, but the place still feels dated and rundown. I've stayed here for 19 years, and the carpet and bedding have stayed the same. The furniture looks like it's from the 80s, and the whole place smells old. We've repeatedly asked them to replace the mattresses. With every owner paying for a week in each unit, you'd think some of that money could go toward updating the carpet and bedding. The inside hasn't been taken care of.

Nice place to stay with the family, and the cabin-style loft rooms are pretty cool.

We were charged a $78 “recreational pass” fee even though we said we were physically unable to use it. There were cobwebs and spiders in the unit. The staff were kind, but couldn't do anything about the extra charge.

Villa number 24 worked really well for us. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the master bathroom had both a jacuzzi tub and a sauna. There were plenty of cooking tools, pots, and pans, plus a basket of supplies to get started, including soap, tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing pods, a Brillo pad, and laundry detergent. The villa was spacious, and the terrace had two extra twin beds, so it could work as a third bedroom for kids. There was a balcony off the upstairs terrace and a patio at the back. The area was quiet, and the deer came right up to us. They were so tame that you could almost feed them by hand. Everything in the villa worked as it should, and we'd try to book the same one if we came back. I have a bad knee and can't manage some of the very steep villa steps. This one was downhill, but its steps weren't steep, so going up and down with an injured leg wasn't bad. Check-in was quick since nobody else was waiting, and they explained everything in detail. They gave us a resort map showing the amenities and a sheet with dining options both on and near the resort. I liked that the living room's large blind had a remote, though instructions for it would've helped. We took a while to figure out how to lower the blind, but got it working. The kitchen drawer had an instruction manual for the appliances, and the sauna had its own directions. The jacuzzi wasn't covered in the manual, though. Honestly, if you mess something else up, it's your own fault.

A great mountain getaway with plenty to do. It isn't pet friendly, though Rover was available.
