St. Lawrence Hotel

The pictures don't really show how nice the place is. The rooms are dated, but clean, and there's lots of antique and unusual furniture. The young woman who served us was especially helpful, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a good selection, and the location worked well. There's a restaurant attached, but it was closed during our stay. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Abraham was so good on the phone that I booked after calling just to ask for an estimate. The older gentleman running breakfast was great to talk with, and the food was delicious. The restaurant by the main lobby is also delicious and worth checking out. I enjoyed my stay and expect to return when I'm in the area. Room 404 did need attention: the door locks wouldn't lock, the shower pipe moved around behind the wall, there were a few hairs left on the linen, and the bathroom hair dryer needed wiping. The curtain was also coming off its track.

My kids and I really liked how friendly the staff were, and the rooms and floors were quiet. The rooms are small, though, and the bathrooms tiny. Everything was clean, but some of the furniture, probably over 20 years old, made noise. The free breakfast was prepared by an elderly veteran gentleman, and the waffles were delicious. It's in a historic town that has water-powered electricity, with a simple old-town charm.

I've stayed here before and will keep coming back when I visit the city. The staff are welcoming, the place is cute and cozy, and the price is fair. The rooms are decent and comfortable with what you need, and the A/C got very cold and worked well. Breakfast had lots of choices, and they kept replenishing the food whenever it ran out. There's also a free coffee machine at reception. Compared with many high-end hotels, this place holds its own, if not better. Thanks, Quality in, I've always enjoyed my stays.
