Inn at Nye Beach

A comfortable bed, great pillows, and the beach view from our room were highlights. The Inn at Nye Beach is a cozy, unpretentious place with a real Oregon Coast feel. The infinity hot tub overlooking the ocean was easily the best part. I’d skip the breakfast perk, though, the hard-boiled eggs and fruit were disappointing. Luckily, it’s easy to walk to a nearby cafe for a better meal. I asked for a quiet room but got one by the elevator and front desk, so it stayed a bit busy, though it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Julie at the front desk was wonderful when something was wrong with our room, and the view was amazing. We slept surprisingly well, which doesn’t usually happen for me. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was very convenient, and the fire pit was relaxing. Beach access worked really well for us, and there’s a cute coffee shop just a short walk away with great brewed coffee. Five out of five, I’d go back again and again.

My cancelled booking was supposed to be refunded, and both the front office staff and hotel manager clearly agreed to do so. But even after repeated follow-ups by email and through Booking.com over an extended period, the refund never came through. What’s most disappointing is that the hotel didn’t honor a commitment it had explicitly made. Trust matters in hospitality, and management did not stand by its word. I escalated the issue, but the General Manager never answered my emails, and responsibility kept being passed to Booking.com even though processing the refund was within the hotel’s control. From my experience, guests should be cautious about relying on cancellation and refund promises, and should document agreements and follow up carefully. This left a very negative impression and raised concerns for me about management’s reliability and accountability. I wouldn’t recommend the property or stay there again.

The private beach is gated and beautifully kept, with stairs leading down to the water. The sunsets and ocean views are fantastic, and there are gas firepits above the beach plus an infinity hottub overlooking the ocean. The hotel itself is beautiful, with friendly staff, clean attractive rooms, fireplaces, a mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, French press, and tea selctions. Some rooms look toward the street and town, others out onto the ocean. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning, and the lobby has fresh-baked cookies and a shop with an excellent wine selection. The whole place has a spa feel, with great accommodations right by the water. I’d definitely stay again.
