The guest kitchen was stocked with extras, and the room felt more like a suite than a regular room. There was plenty of space, with other rooms available for lounging, and the artwork throughout made the place feel like a museum. Linda was unbelievably nice, and breakfast was made to our requests and served whenever it suited us. We chose this bed and breakfast to get away from the usual hotel routine and stay outside the busy city hotel district. We were curious about the location, which has a fascinating history. Our overnight stay met our expectations and exceeded them in other ways. We’d definitely come back on our next visit to Charlotte. It’s a good example of what makes bed and breakfasts special compared with ordinary hotels.

My wife and I stayed here for our 28th anniversary. The room was beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable, and we loved the experience. Mr Linda was an amazing host. Thanks for a remarkable stay. We’ll be back soon.

The property website is misleading. The place needs landscaping, there’s no pool, and the air conditioning wasn’t enough. They need to hire someone to handle upkeep and put up new photos. It was very disappointing, and thankfully my sister was able to take us in. Ms. Linda herself was very nice.

The art throughout the place was beautiful, and the service was magnificent. As a White House Master Chef and Camp David Resort GM, I enjoyed choosing this over a fancy hotel. The amenities are six times better than any $6,000.00-a-night suite at the Ritz Carlton!

We had a great stay and can’t wait to come back and see the yard in bloom. The bed was so comfortable, and the owners were kind and helpful. There were little extras, including snacks and drinks when we arrived. We also loved the attention to detail with the cleaning and breakfast. Our unique, multi-course breakfast was delicious.
