The front desk staff were probably the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people I’ve met at any hotel. They were the best part of the stay. For the price and location, the king suite gave us the extra space we wanted and was clean, quiet, and right for our needs. The air conditioner kept it at a freezing 65°, which my boyfriend likes, though it smelled a little like wet dog or mildew when we turned it on. I’d booked expecting a bathtub because the online photos showed one, but our room had a shower stall. I was disappointed, though I didn’t feel like asking or complaining given the price and location. The luggage carts were way too small and just weird. There was lots of road construction in front and all along the road, and a business across the street had its septic pumped during our one day there, which smelled unpleasant. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault and didn’t affect us much. It’s a good budget room if you want to be close to everything and can accept a few compromises.

We had such a lovely stay, my daughter and I will be back. We really enjoyed the refreshing pool, and the staff were sweet and helpful. The location was great for getting good pizza nearby before a rainstorm. After checking out, we decided to extend our stay. The process was quick and easy, and the manager kindly arranged an upgrade and helped with our luggage. Breakfast was delicious each morning, too.

I had trouble sleeping and went to the lobby to read. The front desk attendant opened the eating area so I could have privacy and even brought me water. The desk staff were kind, helpful with dinner suggestions, and quick to send someone with a replacement when the fridge in our room stopped working. Breakfast had a good range, stayed well stocked, and the attendants were attentive. There were gluten-free choices. The room was just as expected, and the location was handy, close to the ferry and lots of restaurants a few minutes away.

We keep choosing Fairfield by Marriott because each visit is familiar and reliable. The staff are professionally friendly, and we like the clean rooms and convenient spot for the beach, shopping at Renee’s Fine Jewelry, and nearby restaurants. Complimentary breakfast is another plus.
