The tricky part was getting into the park with our 40-foot Class A and towed car. We couldn't make the turn without unhooking the car, so it wasn't ideal for a quick overnight stop in a large motorhome. Once there, though, the level sites, working amenities, and clean, well-stocked bathrooms were great. Staff were wonderful and helpful. We stayed overnight in late February 2026, and the park and staff are absolutely five stars.

The continental breakfast had a good range of food and ran from 4 a.m. to 10, which worked nicely for early risers. Our Shaniko room was spacious, clean, and very nice, with a pleasant river view. It could use blinds or something on the windows above the sliding glass door, and handrails in the shower would help guests who need them. There isn't a TV in the room.

The river views from the lawn and deck really stayed with me. We also had a comfortable room, very good food at the restaurant, and staff with a great customer service attitude. For Maupin, this is the top place to stay.

For our 20th anniversary, my wife and I were wandering around when we found Imperial River Company. From our deck we had a panoramic view of the beautiful river, and the room was charming, clean, and unlike a standard hotel room. The staff were friendly and hospitable, and we really enjoyed staying there.

We had a party of 10, and everyone had great things to say about the restaurant. The portions are huge, so sharing could be a good idea, and the servers were kind. The setting is beautiful for being in the middle of nowhere, and we even played volleyball. Rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. Some of our group had loud neighbors from a bachelor party, though I guess that's to be expected. A great spot for a family adventure.
