Best Western Plus McAllen Airport Hotel

I stayed with my pet, and the staff made sure I was comfortable when I had to leave her for a short errand. They were amazing, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean, and overall I had a great stay, though a few things need fixing. There were ceiling sprinklers missing their covers, so you could see through the ceiling. The showerhead was also pulled about a foot away from the wall and moved around when I tried to adjust its height. Just some odd things.

The staff are phenomenal, you really couldn’t ask for better, and the location and rooms are great. This is the only place I stay when I fly into town. I’m on planes every week and fly over 200,000 miles a year. I usually stay at Hiltons, but whenever I come to McAllen, I always book here.

The pool was freezing, but the kids had fun anyway. The rooms were nice, though we could hear ordinary talking in the hallway, either because the walls are thin or the doors don’t seal well. The front desk staff were super polite and helpful, breakfast was pretty great, and checkout was quick and easy.

This was one of the worst Best Westerns I’ve stayed at. The bed was soft and really uncomfortable, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, and there was hair on the floor from the previous guest. The room’s chair wasn’t comfortable either. It ended up being a pricey stay for what we got. The staff didn’t offer a senior discount, and the room cost too much for the experience.
