Clarion Inn near McAllen Airport

I stayed here for work a second time because of the points, but housekeeping was a joke and the place was filthy. I took photos of everything. There were blood stains on the sheets, walls, and ceilings, empty shampoo bottles, and used soap bars. The AC/heater didn't work, and I had to fix the toilet myself and buy my own toilet paper. When housekeeping does show up, they walk right in whether you're in the room or not, so lock the door. There were homeless people around and trash everywhere. I plan to ask for my money back to pay my employer. As a parent, I won't let my children stay here.

The breakfast was amazing, but the rest of the stay was pretty bare bones. There were only Spanish TV channels and one English one, which kept glitching during the 20 minutes we tried to watch a movie. No towels in the bathroom, either, and there's no room phone, so bring your own if you don't want to walk back to the desk to ask. The beds felt like small fulls rather than queens, and one was broken. A decent place if all you need is somewhere to sleep.

It's not the best, but not the worst. You get a room with AC, a working toilet, and a bed, and the breakfast is better than average because a lady cooks hot food there. The bathrooms don't have face towels. It's not expensive, so I'd rate it 2.2 overall.

This place is garbage. The first room was missing half its curtains, and the roll-down curtains in the second room were broken. Room three had water damage and mold. The TV didn't work, either. You'd be better off booking the dumpster behind the homeless shelter!
