My husband had to go to the hospital and left one bag in the room. We called and were told that would be okay, and he picked it up the next day. Then they tried to charge him $50 for the bag. When I stopped by after work, the young woman at the desk said the policy is that leaving even one item in the room means you lose your deposit. People leave things at hotels all the time. We were at the facility for less than three hours, and this was a terrible experience. The counter manager and the business both felt shady to me. We told them in person and by phone that he was going to the hospital, and they had plenty of time to sort it out. Now that I’ve left a review, they want to investigate. Horrible customer service. Don’t trust them with your money or give them your credit card information. Scammers.

The staff were helpful, and although the room looked shabby, it was clean and tidied regularly. There’s plenty of parking. The hotel and its facilities have seen better days, and I was a little disappointed by the breakfast. As a visitor from Europe, I’m used to a somewhat different standard. One small gripe: the laundry room takes cash, not cards. I’d rate it as functional, clean accommodation for a fairly decent price, as long as you’re not expecting luxury.

The location works well, with Meijer nearby plus plenty of restaurants and things to do. It’s pet friendly, so please pick up after your animals, that’s the owner’s responsibility, not the staff’s. I’ve stayed here many times, and this visit was the nicest I’ve seen it. The room was clean, updated, and put together well, and everyone I dealt with was pleasant and helpful. The price was affordable, and there’s a small workout room open around the clock. It seems management has done a great job cleaning the place up and getting rid of some of the bad elements. Thanks for a pleasant stay, keep it up.

I was charged three times, and after several attempts to sort it out, the manager still wouldn't return my calls or acknowledge the error. Corporate offered reward points, but that means nothing to me since I won't stay here again. The room had broken windows, and I cut my hand on the glass. The hallways smelled strongly of animal waste, with dogs and cats apparently relieving themselves there, and I saw roaches around the property. The place felt neglected and unsanitary. I also felt unsafe in the area, especially near the neighboring strip club. Some people seemed to be living at the hotel, and there were situations that gave the impression of possible drug activity. I can't say what was actually happening, but the atmosphere made me uncomfortable. The billing problem, hazardous conditions, poor communication, and unsettling surroundings make this an unfit place to stay. I'd urge anyone considering it to book elsewhere.
