Crown Inn

There were cockroaches and bed bugs. After about an hour they started crawling out, and I even had to google them because I thought I was imagining it. I wasn't. The walls, floors, and carpets were pretty filthy too, though that's what I expected at a cheaper motel. The manager on duty handled everything very professionally and gave me a full refund, which was the one saving grace. I was left looking for an acceptable room at 11:30 p.m. Oye! I booked a $60 room online, but in person I was charged $80 plus a $20 deposit. Walking in to a $100 bill when I expected $60 was my first red flag. I'd also called ahead to check whether the room was wheelchair accessible and was told yes. There was a threshold about a foot high, and the wheelchair couldn't even fit through the bathroom doorway. It wasn't accessible. This was a little over an hour in the room out of a four-hour stay. Please do your research before booking here.

My client paid for a room last night and got stranded. The front desk manager gave her permission to wait in the lobby until we arrived, but then got tired of waiting and made her leave the property. I even called and asked him to let her stay another hour. He was rude, disrespectful, and wouldn't accommodate someone who was in real need. She was peaceful and wasn't bothering anyone while she waited for us. The front desk manager has zero patience. I would never stay here.

The only good thing was that the AC worked amazingly. The room reeked of smoke so badly that the smell stuck in my nose for three days. The bed and sheet had cigarette burns, and it was just a bare mattress under the sheet with no fitted sheet. There was blood on the walls, spider webs in every corner, missing pieces from the bathroom vent and light, and a broken bathroom door that wouldn't close. It was only $20 less than a reputable hotel. I read the reviews and figured people were being snobby. I was so wrong. This place should be shut down and demolished, but save the window units first.

For $75, the rooms aren't much. There wasn't even a bathroom door handle, there were someone's dirty socks under the TV stand, and food on the floor. I won't go back. I was surprised I didn't see any bugs, thank god.
