McCloud River B&B

We’ll always treasure this visit, especially the way Julie and Dan hosted my dad’s 80th birthday in the Vault. They handled every detail with such care that the celebration felt special and seamless. They were also happy to chat and share what they knew about town. Carolyn and Seth were just as kind and attentive, making sure we had what we needed. The breakfasts were out of this world, and became something we looked forward to each morning. Our spotless, spacious, comfortable room was a welcome retreat after visiting family, exploring, and celebrating. The small-town charm here comes with a real family feel. Julie and Dan’s hospitality made the whole stay, and the birthday celebration, truly memorable. For warm service and amazing food, McCloud River B&B is hard to beat. We can’t thank Julie, Dan, Carolyn, and Seth enough.

We took several days at McCloud River B & B during a trip along the Oregon coast and through N. California. It was peaceful staying in a small town with a fascinating history, and there was great scenery nearby for day trips to Mt. Shasta, McCloud River Falls, and Mt. Lassen N. P. The rooms were spacious and well laid out, a nice change from the usual hotel or motel room. Our hosts worked hard to make us feel welcome and accommodated special food needs with excellent meals. Back home, we met another couple who knew about the wonderful breakfasts here too.

On a Monday morning in Mount Shasta, I wanted to get breakfast out, and McCloud River Bed and Breakfast was just right. The little staff team worked well, the baked goods are made there, and the atmosphere this time of year felt cheerful and seasonal. It’s only a 15 minute drive from I-5. You’ll like it!

A dear friend had a birthday dinner there, and I really liked the charm of the place as I walked around. I didn’t stay overnight, just joined for dinner, and the staff were very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had prime rib and shrimp, both cooked perfectly. The shrimp had just the right orange color and texture, and the prime rib had a great mix of seasoning and meat juices. We gave the chef high praise. Looking forward to my next visit to McCloud, CA!
