Motel 6 McGraw, NY - Cortland

I love that it’s out of town and so peaceful, and the first-floor room made things easy for me and my two dogs. The hardwood floors are great when you have pets. Everyone was on point, from the front desk to the housekeeper. Thank you for the best stay. I recommend staying here.

Easy on and off I-81, and the motel was clean and functional.

We only stayed one night and found an ugly bug in the bathroom. I’d never stayed at a Motel 6 before, and there was no shampoo or conditioner. At $166, I wouldn’t mind if it were a good price, but that’s a ripoff for a Motel 6. We couldn’t find anything else because the other places were booked for graduations and events.

We’ve been staying here for three weeks, and it’s clear the owner really cares about the place. The front desk gentleman has always been kind, courteous, and accommodating, and housekeeping has been just as helpful and does a good job. Our room was crisp and clean when we arrived, and the bathroom was shining. From our second-floor room there’s a gorgeous sunset view across the river. The motel also feels very secure, which I appreciate. There were a few small wallpaper maintenance issues, but nothing major. My only real complaint is that the bathtub floor is slippery, so I put down a hand towel to keep from slipping. I fully recommend it for the comfort, price, and pleasant staff.
