Same complaints were being reported three years ago, and nothing seems to have changed. I’m sharing this so other people know what they may be walking into. My Brek booking agent contacted the hotel manager the next day, and I have the confirmation, photos, video, and call logs available if needed. I also submitted a video taken on December 21, 2025. Compare it with the hotel’s pictures and decide for yourself; the actual conditions were very different. The place is too far from downtown Nashville unless gas stations, Burger King, and McDonald’s are what you’re looking for. I also didn’t feel safe there. The images gave me a misleading impression of the property, and I felt baited into booking. I paid $58 including taxes and fees for a same-day room booked through RoomLast/BreckBrek. The confirmation was for one king bed, and there was no mention of a cash deposit during booking. At check-in, they first asked for $60, then changed it to $40. They eventually waived it and checked me in, but gave me two queen beds instead of the king I had booked. I left the room within minutes. There were cockroaches and stink bugs, mold-like growth on the walls and ceiling, extensive water damage, and soft patches that looked consistent with moisture getting in. I didn’t consider it safe or habitable. When I went to report the problem, the front desk had closed before its posted hours. After several attempts to get help, staff refused to give me an available room that matched my booking because of the deposit they had already waived. They swore at me, treated me abusively, and wouldn’t help further. I had to leave overnight without a habitable room or any alternative place to stay. I’m asking for a full refund and for the matter to be reviewed against health, safety, and brand standards. My complaint covers the room conditions and insect infestation, the undisclosed and inconsistently handled deposit, being denied lodging after check-in, and the staff’s conduct. I’m also sending the information and video to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Guest Relations / Brand Compliance, RoomLast / BreckBrek Customer Support and Partner Relations, local health and environmental health services, municipal code enforcement or housing and sanitation, and the state consumer protection office or attorney general’s consumer division if applicable.
