Comfort Inn Nashville West

Nothing fancy, but the location is great, close to everything, and the rooms are clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding didn’t feel like cheap polyester. My only complaint was that the shower drain was partly clogged and filled up very slowly while I showered. I’m lazy and never mentioned it. I’m sure they would have fixed it or let me change rooms if I’d asked.

I’ve stayed at Comfort Inns across the country, and this is the first one that’s left me so disappointed. The room was dirty when we arrived, the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and parts of the flooring were coming up. The worst part was finding German cockroaches just before bed. It was disgusting. Update: The hotel contacted me about my concerns and apologized. They said an exterminator would be coming in the next few days to address the problem.

I finally got checked in at 5 pm, after arriving at 1. I’d called a couple of days earlier about early check-in and was told there’d be a charge before 1 pm, which seemed fair. But when I arrived, the man at the desk said not a single room was clean, even if I changed room types. With two hours before regular check-in, I found that hard to believe. I felt profiled, and like he enjoyed having power over me. Then at 8:30 the next morning, housekeeping was pounding on my door. I’d just gotten out of the shower and had to ask them to please be patient while I stood there in a towel. I felt disrespected and rushed. Hospitality seems to be missing here. If you have high blood pressure or anxiety, I wouldn’t stay, and don’t pay full price. My living room floor was caving in, too. It is what it is, and your mileage may vary. Best of luck.

My earlier stay was great, and the woman at the front desk then was amazing. This time, on 10/07, the woman working tonight was rude. She was looking at her phone when I came in and didn’t greet me. It took her a minute to acknowledge I was there. When I tapped my card to pay, she got upset and insisted the hotel wouldn’t be paid that way, even though they’d accepted a tap before. She rolled her eyes and argued with me about it. They need to fire her immediately before she ruins the business.
