There are thoughtfully arranged spots to work, unwind, or have fun, whether you’re here on business or for a getaway. The hotel feels welcoming and modern, and it’s exceptionally clean. Even though it’s over four years old, the upkeep makes it look and feel brand new. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into comfort and the guest experience. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very clean in other respects, and the breakfast service was great. But the AC situation made it impossible for me to rest. The room units are limited to 70 degrees, even though the thermostat suggests you can set them lower. That wasn’t cool enough for me to sleep without waking up overheated. I have a body heat issue and need a colder-than-normal room. When I called the GM about it, she said, “The room is cool enough.” It felt like the franchisee might be trying to save on electricity by making guests sweat. That’s how this location treats customers, including titanium members. I checked out 15 minutes after speaking with the GM and went to a different hotel in the middle of the day, after working a 12-hour night and needing rest before my next one. I’m a top-tier member with four hotel chains and practically live in hotels, and I’ve never seen one play games with the AC like this. In Texas, messing people around over room temperature is a pretty low game.

We’ve stayed here before and will come back. The staff are polite and professional, and they offer useful suggestions when you ask. Our suite was clean, and the service staff did a lovely job freshening it up. Breakfast was hot and fresh. A great base for exploring McKinney.

The rooms felt new or recently updated, and were clean and modern, with no rundown feel. My EV charger worked without any trouble, and there are four chargers in all. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent. I’d stay again.
