The front desk service really made the stay for me. Mr. Justin deserves a mention for doing a great job. The property has maintenance issues, like plenty of hotels do, though some are worse than others. As a diamond elite member, this was the kind of experience I personally expect.

I couldn’t sleep well here because the motion-sensing thermostat shut off the A/C while I was asleep, even though it cooled the room well otherwise. There was also a sewage-like smell, and the toilet needed several flushes. I’ll try a different hotel.

Even with a large group of athletes in town for the national track and field championship, breakfast staff kept things moving, with no wait for food or clean dishes. The hotel is also close to the highway, gas stations, restaurants, and stores, with Kansas farmland nearby. Our check-in was quick, and the person at the counter was welcoming and pleasant. The room was quiet and clean, everything worked, and the refrigerator had a little freezer compartment where we could refreeze cooler packs. The IHG was clean, efficient, and quiet, and the staff were friendly. If you want those things along with breakfast while traveling, stay here.

The shower's appearance made the place feel more like a motel. I chose this Holiday Inn because they're usually consistent, it was listed in my Priceline app, and its 9.0 rating suggested it would be exceptionally clean. I picked it over Hampton.

The parking lot was the low point of the stay, since it smelled like horse manure. Otherwise, it wasn't a bad experience. Breakfast was good and available early, and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean, with no visible damage or broken items except for a single electrical outlet. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the location is decent.
