The Zevely Inn

Waking up in a gorgeous historic room and stepping right out onto the streets of Old Salem was such a fun, unusual experience. I prefer it to the downtown hotels. The innkeeper was lovely and made sure we had what we needed. There was a small issue with clutter left by a previous guest, but it was fixed quickly. The furnishings are beautiful, and breakfast was homemade. A fabulous stay, 10/10.

We chose this B&B because we wanted our money to stay local instead of going to the big chains, and it turned out to be a great decision. Our room was incredibly cozy, with a huge gas fireplace and two other sources of heat. The shower had an almost unbelievable amount of hot water, which matters a lot to me. The landlady was charming and gracious, and breakfast was amazing. I’d stay here anytime. If I could, I’d give her 10 stars.

Ms. Cherie was a kind, gracious hostess, and The Zevely Inn had a cozy, quaint feel. Our John Henry room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the street. We had a great experience all around and will be back to try some of the other rooms.

We couldn’t make our booking because of a last-minute emergency, but the hostess was incredibly understanding and flexible. Even though we never got to stay, Zevely did everything they could for us. We’ll definitely try to come back. The customer service deserves six stars if that were possible. Thank you for everything.
