AC Hotel by Marriott Boston North

I had to stay at this AC hotel for a conference. The restaurant and food weren't even motel quality, and the $25 daily destination fee felt like a scam. The check-in woman said we could use it at the restaurant for breakfast, but we still had to pay. It's a shame Marriott operates this way. I'll never stay in AC hotels again, and I'll tell my meeting organizers not to hold another conference here. Looking at the reviews, plenty of other people also had trouble with the destination fee and felt cheated. When I raised it with the general manager, he acted like he had no idea what I meant. What a buffoon.

Quick access to Boston, and the rooms were clean, neat, and uncluttered. They were perfect, though there wasn't much in the way of amenities. There's a small bar, and breakfast was a paid buffet with no a la carte options.

The location was hard to beat, right by the metro, with fantastic nearby restaurants. I loved my stay. Our corner room had a king bed, sleek modern decor, and thoughtful design details. The whole hotel was immaculate and consistently smelled fresh. Everyone I met, from the front desk and housekeeping to breakfast staff, was warm, professional, and went out of their way to help. Easily the best hotel experience I've had. I'd recommend it a thousand times over.

It's a nice enough place if you're okay without air conditioning. I called about the AC at 5pm, and the tech came up and said he'd return in an hour to check it. When I got back at 11, the room was even hotter. I called the desk, but no one was available to help. It was 86°F in there. Enjoy your stay, I guess.
