Union Creek Resort

The staff were friendly and knew a lot about the area. I look forward to visiting again. The cabins are close to smaller towns and trails worth seeing and walking, and it's convenient to Crater Lake with lots of trails and waterfalls nearby. Becky's Cafe is very good too. A must place to stay, go see for yourself.

I miss the good breakfast Beckie's used to serve, and the more normal hours. The other reason this place and Beckie's don't get a perfect review is the decision to go cashless. It's actually illegal to be cashless unless you're in the national park, Oregon Convention Center, a concert, or a sports team.

Leeann at the front desk was the one good part of our stay. She was very helpful with information about the sights around Union Creek. We stayed in the main house, which was quite infested with rats. There were droppings on the bed and on our clothes when we got back from sightseeing, and while we were out they chewed holes in a pillowcase, as shown in the picture. The shared bathroom had no sink, only hand sanitizer. The wifi didn't work at all, probably because they have just one router for the whole building. The nearest cell service is 11 miles away, so it was nice to disconnect for a bit, but they shouldn't advertise wifi when there was no Internet during our entire stay. They'd crossed out the emergency information on our pamphlet and hadn't provided another way to contact anyone at night. With no cell service, that seems risky.

We'd never stay here again. The cabins were small, filthy, and had black mold. We had to get the sheets changed right after arrival because they had hairs and sand on them. The internet was very spotty, though the location is fantastic, about 1/2 hour from Crater Lake and right across the street from Beckie’s Cafe, where there's pie. The woman at the front desk was very helpful.
