Waverly Cottage

The host had everything ready for us, including homemade banana bread waiting at the cottage. Waverly Cottage was one of the most unique places I've stayed. It was all furnished in antiques, even the fridge and stove were from the past. A perfect place!

The grounds were just perfect, and the well kept home had a clean, comfortable interior that was so delightfully fun. Tiffany was a great help from planning ahead through checkout. Our quick Southern Oregon trip for my son's 18th birthday turned into a stay at the Waverly Cottage that far exceeded our expectations. This home is a gem in the heart of Medford, a must see and stay!

The kitchen was stocked with snacks, juices, and treats, including red, white, and blue fruit tarts chosen for the 4th of July. We felt pampered, and the attention to detail was everywhere. We'd try to plan another northern trip so we could stay at Waverly Cottage again. Our family stopped there overnight on the drive from San Jose, Ca. to Portland, Or. It was even more charming in person than in the pictures. We'd spoken with Tiffany several times while arranging things, and she always replied promptly. We arrived about an hour later than planned, and Robert greeted us with a smile and showed us around. The house was delightful inside and out, with mostly Victorian period furnishings as well as modern conveniences. We spent hours looking at the display cases of relics and antiques, and have never stayed anywhere so entertaining just to be in. The whole place was spotless, from the shiny hardwood floors to the sparkling clawfoot tub. The beds were comfortable, and the living room cozy. We also got a rush of cool air when we came in. It was a welcome surprise that a house from the 1890's had air conditioning, especially since Oregon was in a 100+ degree heat wave.

The Waverly Cottage was a stunning historic bed and breakfast, and I was excited to stay there when I visited the area for a wedding last October. The owners were very welcoming, and the location was perfect. I highly recommend it for future visits.
