Trolley Stop Motel

A nice spot for a day or two in town. The rooms are small but very clean, and the area is quiet. Lots of shops and stores are close by.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were small but well kept, with a microwave and fridge. It's clean, budget friendly, and conveniently located. A good fit for a short, simple visit.

We didn't stay here. The room was small, the shower had mold, the sheets had cigarette burns, and the pillowcases were ripped. A strong chemical smell gave us migraines. Since the heat wasn't working, they gave us a space heater. It looked like a rent by hour hotel, if you get what I mean. When we asked for our money back, they were rude and refused. Hotels.com was no help, and I don't believe the reviews are real. Don't ever stay here!

I've stayed at this motel several times over the past few years. It's a bit small, but I only needed a clean bed for the night, nothing fancy. That's changed. I booked and paid in advance and got a confirmation email, but when I arrived, I was told there was a $100 cash-only security deposit, the same amount I'd paid for the room. This charge had never come up before, and nobody told me about the new policy in the booking or confirmation emails. The staff weren't welcoming and were rude. The motel's quality has seriously gone downhill. My room wasn't clean, the sheets and bedding smelled funny, and the TV remote was sticky. There was no way I was going to shower there. I'll stay somewhere else next time I visit Philly.
