I've stayed here overnight around the Fourth of July a few times over the past several years, and there's always seemed to be some kind of problem. Once the back door wouldn't accept our room keys; on another stay the system was down, so we had to be escorted to our room whenever we left. I have a pet, and the nonrefundable fee used to be $50. I just checked about booking again and saw they now want triple that. I'm not paying more for my dog than for the room for two adults. I'll find somewhere else or drive straight through.

David at the front desk was great during our cross-country overnight stop. He gave us a complimentary appetizer card for a nearby steakhouse, then later texted to check that everything was okay in the room. A really nice touch. The only small gripe: that was the slowest elevator I've ever ridden.

The gym here is one of the best I've seen in a hotel in a long time. It's got an elliptical, two treadmills, a Peleton Bike, lots of free weights, a plyobox, multiple medicine balls, and more. We were in town for the Season Finale soccer tournament hosted in Lodi, and our rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were excellent with our team of young girls. The breakfast room can be used for team gatherings, and we held two dinners there over the weekend. The staff graciously let us use it and helped troubleshoot catering problems from a local restaurant.

The room felt nice and newer, and getting checked in was easy. The front desk staff were friendly, and the breakfast was standard Hampton fare. We enjoyed our stay, and getting to the hotel from the freeway was easy.
