Aloft by Marriott Memphis Downtown

Carlos at the bar really made the visit. He's attentive, friendly, professional, and has great recommendations. The lobby has a small market and a bar, and the restaurant food was surprisingly good too. At Aloft Memphis Downtown, the rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean. I appreciated the practical touches: a good speaker, a desk beside a sofa, a large TV, a fridge, and a coffee and tea station with cups to go. It's a high quality hotel that deserves more recognition.

We had a pleasant stay and I really needed those 24 hours to relax. The front desk staff were polite, and the bartender gave great service. Their Don Anejo lemon drop was the best I've ever tasted. The hotel is beautiful, the view is nice, and I loved the mirrors and Bluetooth speaker.

Carlos made the stay for my friend and me. We walked up to the bar without realizing it was closing, but he still served us and had a nice chat. Give him a raise! The room was cute, clean, and modern, and the lobby was nice. There's no pool, but the rooftop deck, pool table, gym, and game room made the place feel fun and different.

The location is phenomenal, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there's plenty of seating in the nice lobby, plus a huge TV at the bar. I also liked the rooftop spot on the second floor for relaxing, though they should let people smoke there. My one gripe: there's no iron or ironing board, just a steamer, which I'd never used. I ended up walking around Beale st all wrinkled. Lol. I'll stay here whenever I visit Memphis.
