La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Memphis Downtown

We had multiple cockroaches in our room, and there was no improvement when we moved to another one. I was there with my pregnant wife, and the conditions were completely unacceptable. We told the front desk right away, but the staff member seemed unconcerned and offered no reassurance. The manager kept avoiding a direct conversation with me but promised a refund that still hasn't come. Other reviews make this seem like an ongoing issue, not a one-off. Given the health risk, especially with my wife's pregnancy, we had to escalate it. I've reported the hotel to the city for pest control violations and will pursue a chargeback if the refund isn't processed. I'd strongly advise people to avoid staying here until these serious hygiene problems are dealt with.

Free parking was a nice bonus, and it was quiet inside. We could walk to Beale St and FedEx Forum Arena without much trouble. The room was really clean. Definitely recommend it!

The lounge area was nice, and breakfast had the usual standard options. Even though pets are allowed, our room was clean and didn’t smell. Street noise was another story, though. I had to put in earplugs around 1:30 am.

The location was good, but I wouldn’t stay here again. At the end of May 2025, my family and I went to use the pool and found out the hotel had no water. There was no water anywhere in the hotel for the whole weekend, so we moved to another hotel. I never got the full refund back. I called the front desk, was repeatedly put on hold, and was told someone would get back to me, but no one ever did. Now it’s December 2025 and I still haven’t heard from them or received my money. We lost money over this. Stay away if you expect to get your refund.
