The room was pretty clean, the bed comfortable, and the hotel is new, but the service was absolutely horrible, especially valet. Their desk is inside with their backs to the street, so they don’t notice cars needing service. They also can’t get the texting system right, then blame you for not getting a text. Check-in is at the centric, since caption has no front desk, but there’s hardly any signage. When I mentioned that, I was ignored. I asked for a quiet room and got one by the elevators and across from the ice dispenser. Food at the rooftop bar took 45 minutes. The air conditioner made a loud click whenever the fan switched on and off, waking us up. The decorations are cute but impractical, and there’s a phone charging outlet on only one side of the king bed. I’d stay elsewhere next time.

We had a lovely stay in the Caption. Check-in staff were friendly, and the hotel felt welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean, and full of fun furniture and decor. It would’ve been nice if the “chill out” bar area had been open sometime during our stay, but it never was.

We really like this hotel. It’s close to everything, and the suites are spacious with a nice balcony. The valet team was working hard, but they were backed up and needed more staff. We didn’t get the valet text until checkout the next day, and getting our car took forever.

The rooms are tight, but that wasn’t a deal breaker, and amenities are negotiable. Cleanliness isn’t. As soon as we walked in, we saw stains on the sheets and pillowcases. The service phone didn’t work, so we had to keep going back to the front desk for basics. The iron and some outlets were broken, which is odd for a place with a business hotel vibe. Parking is valet at $35 a day. 2/10.
