voco Hotel Napoleon Memphis by IHG

The breakfast-included rate comes with a generous meal voucher for The Archives. Staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating, and the lobby is nicely designed. The rooms are decent, though they could use a few more amenities for the price. The building is older and historic, but the Voco renovation and rebranding were well done, and the hotel feels like new.

Hugh was a great host at the Archive Bar and Bistro. He seemed to run the whole place and handle a bit of everything. We stopped in for breakfast and were glad we did. The food was delicious, the coffee was strong, and service was quick.

The staff at the front desk were friendly, and the AC that wasn't working when I checked in was thankfully fixed. Still, the Napoleon has recently been rebranded as a Voco by IHG without the special details that should make the brand stand out. It's an old hotel that needs renovation and better soundproofing, and the old windows need a deep clean. The neighboring ‘restaurant’ sounds promising from the menu, but the food wasn't fresh or well prepared. I'd eat at the Irish Pub or Little Petals nearby instead.

Everyone was kind during my stay at The Hotel Napoleon, from management and housekeeping to the front desk. The restaurant inside has new ownership, and the food was yummy with generous portions. They also do private brunches and dinners. I'll be back!!!!!!!!
