Extended Stay America Memphis Germantown

The smell in the room and hallways was awful, like spicy soup. Half the hotel was being remodeled, with tools and materials scattered in the halls, and even the remodeled room looked poorly patched and painted. The whole place was rundown and shouldn’t have been open then. Doors were propped open, which felt like a security risk. There were hairs in the sink, the cabinets and furniture were old and water damaged, and the TV remote’s power button didn’t work, like it had been dropped. It’s in a nice part of Memphis, but the hotel didn’t reflect that. I’d never recommend it again. Read this one-star review as a zero-star review.

There were a couple of problems at first, with marijuana smoke, doors slamming, and loud guests, but those have been resolved. Other than that, we have no complaints. It’s clean and comfortable, and the staff and management are great. To me, it’s a very professional place.

Tiffany does such a good job cleaning my room that I wouldn't want anyone else doing it. The front desk clerk is great with people, housekeeping does wonderful work, and the manager looks after everyone so professionally. The customer service here is excellent.
