The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and had plenty of storage for luggage, clothes, and other things. Breakfast was good, with clean, roomy serving space and modern touch-screen grind-and-brew coffee machines. When a work situation went wrong, the staff accommodated me way beyond what I expected. I also left a few things in the closet and was already hours down the road, unable to turn back. They found my belongings and kept them safe until a colleague could pick them up the next day. Rebecca, thanks so much for helping when everything was going wrong. I’m grateful for the hospitality. When I come back to Memphis, I plan to stay here.

For a newer hotel remodel, the carpet and bathtub were dirty, the mirror was streaky, and the elevator walls looked greasy.

The room was clean and everything in it worked, but the service and breakfast let me down. I tried to add Friday night to my Saturday reservation and asked if they could match the rate. No one responded. Later I asked the front desk for an email address to send feedback, and got ignored again. Breakfast was disappointing both mornings. At 7:10 Saturday, only ten minutes after it opened, the biscuits were doughy inside, the turkey sausage was greasy, and the eggs looked like they might have been sitting since Friday. When I mentioned it, the desk brushed me off, saying breakfast was almost gone. I've stayed at hotels all over the country and never seen weekend breakfast run out in ten minutes. On Sunday, the attendant was still setting things up around that time. The pancake maker wasn't on either day. The room is solid and the price could be right, but I wouldn't count on breakfast or attentive staff.

I wouldn't stay here. The general manager and owner never replied to an inquiry I sent by email or followed up through IHG's official channels. When I had an issue, the inquiry was marked "resolved" without anything being done, which is unacceptable. I don't know what's going on, but something feels off, and I worry a small problem would be left unattended. There could be employee theft or corruption at the GM or owner level, though I can't say for sure. The operator later claimed the hotel wasn't in business at the time. That isn't accurate. I took the matter all the way to IHG Corporate, and the response seems like damage control. If new management is in place, maybe the problems I raised have been fixed. But don't whitewash what happened. Own it, make improvements, and move on. Parker Martin, if you want to respond to my emails and inquiries, I'll revise this review. Until then, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
