Hyatt Place Memphis/Primacy Parkway

The hotel was nice and well run, with excellent customer service, but housekeeping missed the mark in our room. There were two really long strands of hair in the shower, which was messed up.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. I had a spacious king room that was easy to relax in, and the hotel felt clean and safe. There was a humid smell in the room, though. Nothing fancy, but straightforward for a work trip. Overnight parking costs $7, so keep that in mind.

The neighborhood was quiet, with restaurants and shopping close by, and the staff were exceptional. I was nervous because of some bad hotel experiences in Memphis and came in with a lot of anxiety, but this stay was excellent. My room was clean, and I’ll be back.

The front desk was hard to reach. The first time I went to speak with someone, the employee was outside smoking; the next day there was a “Be right back” sign, and I waited more than 20 minutes without anyone appearing. My room’s blackout curtains were hanging off the rod, and there was no regular coffee in the room. The rooms and public areas were shabby and very dirty, and badly needed a thorough cleaning. There are much better options nearby.
