Sky Lodge Inn & Suites

I had to change my travel plans at the last minute because of work, but no one answered the phone and the voicemail box was full. My booking agent finally reached the hotel once I was inside the 72-hour no-refund period, and they refused to cancel, charging me for the whole week. I did get a refund through my credit card's cancellation insurance. When I later asked staff for documentation, they were hostile and assumed I was trying to file a chargeback. A unique experience, that's for sure.

The place smelled stale throughout. At the entrance there was a bucket of cigarettes by the front door, and a disheveled-looking barefoot man was sitting on a lounge chair. I checked in, saw the room, and walked straight back out. Definitely a trashy location.

I left my new electric toothbrush on the vanity after an overnight business stay. Since I live more than two hours away, going back for it wasn't practical. I called the front desk and learned it had made it to lost & found. I sent a prepaid mailer to Sky Lodge Inn & Suites, and the staff packed the brush safely and sent it back. It cost me $130, so paying for the mailer and a new brush head was a bargain compared with replacing the whole electric toothbrush. Thanks to the cleaning staff, check-in desk, and management for helping me out. If I'm in the area again for business or pleasure, I know I can count on Sky Lodge & Suites.

The location is close to everything, and the service and customer care are outstanding. Breakfast is very basic, but the price of the stay still makes it worthwhile.
