Courtyard Marriott Hagerstown

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location suited us well. Everyone was so sweet and nice. We’ll come back again, thank you!

The lobby looked nice, but the first thing we noticed on entering was a dirty mop smell. Our room needs work: the bed was too hard, and the layout made it difficult to watch TV from bed. The elevators also need attention. One was already out of service, and the other broke shortly after we went upstairs, just as we’d finished unloading the car. We weren’t impressed with the food choices.

We’ve stayed here for years on our annual road trip, but we won’t be back. Even after they moved us to another room, the sheets and pillows were disgusting, and I couldn’t sleep. They didn’t charge me for the room, though we had booked two. I felt I needed to share what happened. The first room had yellowed, unclean sheets, dirty bathroom floors, a dog smell, filthy pillows, and threadbare sheets. I stopped to smell the mattress before bed, thank God, and it smelled like urine. When I pulled the sheet back, it was awful. The shower curtain was soiled, and there was hair left in the shower. Hotel bedding should be pristine. There are also five cannabis shops around. The staff tried to do their best, but the place was awful. I used to leave generous housekeeping tips; I won’t anymore. Marriott needs to investigate these hotels that are ruining its brand.

Tim at the front desk went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and the other desk staff were really friendly too. Jamie from housekeeping was super helpful. The customer service made an already comfortable stay even better. Thanks to the Courtyard Hagerstown team for a wonderful visit!
