Admiral Sims' House

We loved staying here. The owners were friendly and easy to reach, and the rooms were nice and clean. It takes about a 20-25 minute walk to the busy part of Newport. We walked most of the time, though once in a while we took an Uber. Highly recommend.

Our host Marie was quick to respond and attentive whenever we had questions. The house was beautiful and spotless, and the beds and linens were so comfortable. Breakfast included baked goods and fruit. Lots of restaurants are within a 20-minute walk, and it’s also near the cliff walk. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Ocean Room for one night during a Memorial Day getaway, and it was spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated with a coastal feel. The King bed was comfortable, and the closet and bathroom were both a good size. This historic multi-level home has neatly kept grounds and green grass. Our room was on the second floor, so we carried our things up a couple flights of stairs, with no elevator. It was quiet at night, and we were happy to find the place was pet friendly. The host texted ahead to coordinate our check-in time and share the check-in and check-out instructions. We’ve always admired Newport, and Admiral Sim’s House made the night feel special. The price felt fair for the service, quality, and location. We highly recommend Admiral Sims House and will definitely return.

I was in town for the Newport 1/2 marathon, and the race start was an easy walk of less than a mile away. My room at Admiral Sims house was super clean, especially the immaculate bathroom, and the gas fireplace made it extra cozy. Communication was clear and friendly. I had a very good stay and would recommend it.
