WoodSpring Suites Meridian

Housekeeping showed up only once in a month, and even then they didn’t clean the room. They left bottles of soap on the sink but left trash under it, and ignored the dirty linens I’d set aside to be taken out. They left a letter saying why they couldn’t clean, and I haven’t seen them since. A month later, the general manager raised the rates, which I believe went against the Side contract policies because the increase wasn’t documented and signed off on. I’d highly recommend staying somewhere else.

It’s really well placed for getting around, with the freeway close by, lots of food and shopping nearby, and the Boise Air Terminal not far away. The staff were all friendly and willing to help, and Chris the maintenance man got on top of issues quickly. The rooms are laid out nicely too. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’d happily recommend it.

Room 315 had a bad smell, and the bed and pillows weren’t good quality. The bathroom was fairly clean, but the shower heads felt cheap. The blinds also left part of the window uncovered, which isn’t ideal if you care about privacy.

They quoted me $405 including tax, but at arrival the total was $435, and the front desk didn’t clearly explain the increase. I was first told it was some kind of added tax. When I checked out, I asked again and was told it was for some type of community improvement. They should explain this charge more clearly online, so customers aren’t faced with an extra tax when they get there. The room itself was fine, though very basic, with no curtains and no hand towels.
