Best Western Plus Gilbert/Mesa

We were hoping to like this place since it's so close to family we were visiting, but we won't stay here again. The room and hallway cleanliness was just okay, and the rooms seemed like they needed a deep clean. Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower didn't drain right, and the water was scalding no matter how we turned the faucet. We wanted to use the pool, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, and the surrounding area was cracked and crumbling, so we didn't feel comfortable. The staff were friendly and breakfast was decent, though it could've had more variety. We felt we paid way more than the hotel was worth, and it didn't add anything good to our vacation. Native Wings in the same parking lot was fantastic, though.

I was worn out after traveling all day, and the front desk smiles really helped. Everyone was friendly and took care of things for me. The room was clean, and the cleaners did a great job keeping it ready when I came back. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal for the kids, and really good coffee. In my mind, this hotel is a 10. A super experience.

For a budget stay, it was decent, though don't expect too much. Our room looked fairly clean at first, apart from maybe five bits of dog food scattered around. They do allow pets for a fee. The bathroom was clean, but one side of the toilet seat hinge was broken, which made it hard to use. Housekeeping respected our things and replaced towels and sheets that were out of place. The hotel was about as good as the price suggested. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good budget hotel, upkeep could be better.

It was a nice stay overall, and I'd come back. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially the king bed, and the price was great. Breakfast was good, though fresh fruit would've been nice. In the morning, I noticed hair caught in the shower drain and told the front desk. They said they'd let housekeeping know, but I'm not sure it was cleaned because they put in a stopper. Housekeeping also forgot fresh washcloths and didn't sweep the bathroom floor on our second day.
