Desert Rose Motel

I'm a preacher, and a friend staying here became very ill, so we came over as soon as we got the call. Within seconds of entering his room, there was a knock at the door from the manager. It turns out visitors aren't allowed, a policy I believe is very much illegal under innkeepers' rules and regulations. He left us alone while I went to get medicine. I learned he'd managed to call a friend to watch over him, but the manager had bullied her and turned her away. I don't know what will happen the rest of this night, but beware if they harass my friend even slightly.

The place was clean, I felt very safe, and the shower was awesome. Just let the water run for a minute to clear the smell. But the price was crazy high because it was NASCAR WEEKEND, and the website said rooms had full kitchens. They didn't, just a microwave and a very mini fridge. The lights didn't even have shades, so I had to make one. And the TV LOST RECEPTION AT 10 PM and didn't get it back until less than an hour before checkout.

Desert Rose Motel suits my needs perfectly. It's clean and quiet, and you can park right outside your door. When you rent weekly, they don't bother you about cleaning the room, but they'll do it if you ask. It's also easy to get to the freeway and shopping. I like it so much I'd love to live here.

I stayed here for 13 months, 4.5 years ago, and had no problems. Richard, the owner, is a very nice man. The property is old and the rooms are modest, but the price reflects that.
