Hyatt Place Phoenix/Mesa

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. The furniture and TV felt a little dated, though, and breakfast was a concern when we found a piece of plastic in the food. There was no body lotion in the room either. With some updates and more care around breakfast quality, this could be a better stay. Overall, it was pretty good.

Being very close to Sloan Park was a plus, and the front desk staff were genuinely nice. The woman at the desk said they were going to remodel in May, which this place could definitely use. The hotel is really outdated, with old carpet, stained curtains, and uncomfortable beds. One bed sagged in the middle.

The shopping area nearby has stores, restaurants, and a movie theater, and it stays quiet without much foot traffic. We spent three days here while visiting the area. The hotel had good amenities, and the front desk staff welcomed us and answered all our questions. Nice place to stay.

The staff were wonderful throughout my stay, always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. But the room was dusty enough to aggravate my allergies, and the sheets and towels had stains, which was disappointing. I’m allergic to pets, and the pet odors in the carpet and couches, along with lingering pet dander, made it hard to feel comfortable. Since this is a pet-friendly hotel, vinyl flooring would be easier to clean than carpet, and leather or faux leather furniture might work better. The furnishings and cleanliness could use real improvement, even though the staff were great.
